Letter: Media should stick to reporting the news

To the editor,

Recently there has been a constant uproar about how the news media is losing credibility. I think this is much overdone.

The cause seems to be that the media folks think they have been elevated to be a “part of an event” and proceed to add commentary, forecasts and opinions. They love to generate and magnify conflict because that attracts more attention, and in some instances they even try to create news

Let’s face it. They are hired as reporters and should answer, “who, what, when and where” and quit.

The reader or listener should draw their own conclusions. We appreciate being fed the news but please don’t try to digest it for us.
