To the editor,
I would like to thank everyone that showed up at the open mic at the New Harvest Restaurant to support The Lions Club of Beacon Falls “Families in Need” fundraiser.
As a resident of Beacon Falls for most of my life, I have always felt that our town had a big heart. That proved to be true and each day the residents of our town are proving that. We have collected close to $3,000 in cash donations since the Lions Club announced the fundraiser and the donations of nonperishable items that have been dropped off at Beacon Falls Pharmacy, The New Harvest, our local library and Beacon Falls Pizza has been overwhelming. A drop box has just been placed at Naugatuck Valley Savings and Loan for anyone that would like to help.
Thank you again to everyone that has supported Families in Need.
