Letter: Hoff will make a difference

To the editor,

I write this letter in support of a candidate for burgess who has had an incredible impact on my life and as I have witnessed the lives of so many Naugatuck residents.

I first met Dorothy Hoff more than 25 years ago when she was organizing a “Readers Festival” at Maple Hill School. I remember the commitment she had as a parent to make the school environment the best it could possibly be for all students. In all the years since she has never lost that passion to help make Naugatuck a better place. Sometimes in public roles, more often behind the scenes, working, helping, supporting and offering her talents.

The mayoral election is just a few days away. During the course of a campaign we all hope to find candidates who we can believe in and will help move our community forward. Dorothy has the compassion, energy and the kind of experience that will make a difference. She will be the kind of voice we need, working, listening and doing all she can to help the town that she, and we all love move forward.
