PROSPECT — Police are investigating a report of someone entering a home Dorothy Avenue through an unlocked bathroom window and stealing jewelry, money and medication.
According to a news release from police, a person or persons entered the back of the home by placing a lawn chair against the house, removing the bathroom window screen and then lifting the unlocked window. The owners were on vacation, police said.
Jewelry, money and medication were taken, the person or persons left through the back door, police said. The incident was reported about 1 p.m. Sunday. Anyone with information can call Troop I in Bethany at (203) 393-4200.
