BEACON FALLS — The International Food Festival is back.

Angela Plourde, 17, a senior at Woodland Regional High School in Region 16, decided to bring back the festival as part of her senior project. It takes place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the high school’s cafeteria.

“I’m really interested in culture and language,” Plourde said. “I thought it would be a good idea to bring it back.”

Admission is free. The food is from a variety of countries, and is prepared by students. During the festival, some students will play cultural music.

Then at 6:20, students who are theater performers in “A Midsummer’s Night Dream” will escort people down to Fine Arts Night. From 6:30 to 7, there will be art viewing and piano and guitar performances, and the Jazz Improv Band and Chamber Choir will perform in the auditorium at 7.

Plourde said she hopes the festival continues for the next few years.
