ANSONIA — State Sen. George Logan, R-17th District, has been endorsed by the state’s Independent Party in his bid for re-election.
“Two years ago I ran as an independent thinker and someone who would do what is best for the taxpayers of Connecticut,” said Logan in a press release. “During my first term in Hartford, I believe I stayed true to that independent attitude, remembering to put the people of the 17th District above partisan politics. I reached across the aisle as an elected official should and sided with my party when it was the right thing to do for my constituents. I see this in keeping with the approach of the Independent Party, and I’m very glad to have their support again.”
The 17th District represents all or parts of Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Bethany, Derby, Hamden, Naugatuck and Woodbridge.
