PROSPECT — A homeowner returned to his house on Union City Road Tuesday morning to find two men trying to steal a part from a 1970 Ford Mustang, according to police.
According to a press release issued by Connecticut State Police Troop I, the man was approaching his house when he noticed a strange car backed on the front lawn. Two white males were attempting to take the differential rear end from the Mustang, police said. The homeowner approached the men, who then dropped the differential rear end and fled the scene, police said.
Police said the suspects fled in a blue, 2003 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck east on Route 68. The truck’s license plate number is ADFW6, according to police. As of this post, the case remained under investigation.
