Historical society displays flavors of Connecticut

Naugatuck-Historical-SocietNAUGATUCK — The Flavors of Connecticut exhibit is currently on display at the Naugatuck Historical Society.

The exhibit, which will be open for two months, features artifacts from Avery Soda, the oldest soda company still bottling in Connecticut, Nardelli’s Grinder Shop and Fascia’s Chocolates, a family owned and run business for generations. The exhibit also explores the history of other local flavors such as Peter Paul and the Naugatuck Creamery through the artifacts of the society’s archives.

The exhibit is free for members to view, $2 for non-members and $5 for a family. Group tours are also available. The historical society museum is located at 195 Water St. For more information or to schedule a group tour, call (203) 729-9039 or email naugatuckhistory@sbcglobal.net.
