High Rock hosting shooting clinic for women


NAUGATUCK — The National Rifle Association’s Women On Target program is sponsoring an instructional shooting clinic for women only at the High Rock Shooting Range in Naugatuck July 28 and 29.

All necessary equipment will be provided by the club, including firearms, ammunition, and eye/ear protection. The clinic will feature training in the safe handling of pistols to help participants learn the fundamentals of shooting.

The cost of the program is $25 per person and preregistration required. The event is limited to the first 24 registrants, aged 18 or older, per shooting session. The morning session will begin at 8:30 a.m. The afternoon session will begin at 1 p.m.
