NVHDSEYMOUR — The Naugatuck Valley Health District will host two special children’s vaccination clinics to help district students get up to date before the new school year begins.

The clinics will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. on Aug. 20 and 27 at the district office, 98 Bank St. Appointments are required. A parent or guardian also must accompany the student, and they should bring their child’s vaccine record.

There will be a charge of $20 per vaccine for those children under 19. Costs for vaccines for older individuals vary. Payment is by cash, credit or debit card.

Depending on a child’s age and grade level, different vaccinations are required to enter school. Parents or guardians should consult their school nurse regarding the vaccines required for their child.

The district serves residents of Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Derby, Naugatuck, Seymour and Shelton. For information or appointments, call the district office at (203) 881-3255 between 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.
