SEYMOUR — The Naugatuck Valley Health District will convert its current Barbershops, Hairdressing and Cosmetology Shops Code to a Body Care Code to encompass updates on current trends in the industry, meet new state requirements and include tanning and massage.
A copy of the proposed revisions can be found at www.nvhd.org or viewed at the health district offices, 98 Bank St., Seymour, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A public hearing regarding the proposed revisions will be held at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday in at the district offices. For more information, call (203) 881-3255.
The Naugatuck Valley Health District is the local health department for the municipalities of Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Derby, Naugatuck, Seymour and Shelton.
