Halloween village ready to open


NAUGATUCK — Children can get into the Halloween spirit starting this weekend.

The Park and Recreation Department’s Children’s Halloween Village opens Friday. The village features Halloween characters and guests can get their picture taken with one for $5 or bring their own camera.

The village is open from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the department, 258 Rubber Ave., Oct. 23 to Oct. 25 and Oct. 28 to Oct. 30. The village will feature Balloon Benders on Oct. 24 and magicians on Oct. 30.

Admission is free, but donations are welcome. Guests are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation for the food bank. For more information, call Park and Recreation at (203) 720-7071.
