The greyhound statue stolen from Naugatuck High School has been found, according to Principal Fran Serratore.
The statue, which was noticed missing Monday morning, was found behind the dumpster near the softball field, according to Serratore.
“Hopefully, we’re going to get it repaired,” he said.
Serratore said the statue was easy to take because it wasn’t really secured to its base.
“It was bolted in but with a pretty good shake you could get it out,” he said.
Serratore said he had no idea why anyone would want to take the statue.
