State Rep. Len Greene Jr. recently picked up several endorsements in his bid for reelection.
Greene, a Republican from Seymour, is seeking reelection in the 105th House District, which includes Ansonia, Beacon Falls, and Seymour. Greene is running against Democrat Theresa Conroy of Seymour.
According to a release issued by Greene’s campaign, he was endorsed by the Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA) and the Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters Association of CT (UPFFA).
The CBIA is a business organization with over 10,000 member companies, while the UPFFA represents firefighters in the state.
The CBIA also endorsed Greene two years ago when he first ran for office, according to the release.
The release said Greene is honored this year by also having the endorsement of the UPFFA, which said its decision was based upon Greene’s “record of support for the Professional Fire Fighter of the state of Connecticut and his leadership in helping to ensure the health and safety of our brothers and sisters throughout the state.”
Greene has also received endorsements this year from the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB), the NRA, and the Connecticut Association of Realtors which also supported him two years ago, the release said.
According to its website, NFIB is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization founded in 1943 with a mission to promote and protect the right of its members to own, operate and grow their businesses.
According to the release, the NFIB said Greene’s, “voting record over the past two legislative sessions on key issues important to small business indicates that he will continue to be committed to the thousands of Main Street small businesses and their employees in Connecticut when he is reelected to serve in Hartford.”
