BEACON FALLS — The town still has about $200,000 in grant funding available for eligible residents to use for housing rehabilitation.
The funds are from a 2013 grant and will expire at the end of the year.
The grant provides interest-free loan assistance to qualifying low and moderate income property owners to make needed health and safety improvements to their homes, including repairs to the septic system, roof and window replacement and handicap modifications. The loans are not due and payable until the property is sold.
To qualify for the loan, property owners must have 10 percent equity in their homes, be current on their taxes and have an annual income below the HUD Income limits.
Lisa Low & Associates is a consultant for Beacon Falls working with the grant. For more information or a grant application, contact Lisa Low & Associates at (203) 888-5624 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
