BEACON FALLS — Beacon Falls still has Community Development Block Grant funds available for housing rehabilitation.
The funds are from the 2013 grant and will expire at the end of July.
The grant provides interest-free loan assistance to qualifying low and moderate income property owners to make needed health and safety improvements to their homes. The loans are not due and payable until the property is sold or the homeowner is deceased.
To qualify for the loan, property owners must have 10 percent equity in their homes, be tax current and have an annual income below the HUD Income limits.
Lisa Low & Associates is a consultant for Beacon Falls working with the grant. For more information or a grant application, call (203) 888-5624.
