NAUGATUCK — Glendale Center recently welcomed three cardiologists from Naugatuck Valley Cardiovascular Associates as its new rounding cardiologists.
George Antonopoulos, M.D., Michael Malinics, DO, FACC , and Suphichaya Muangman, M.D. are now part of the interdisciplinary team providing care to the cardiac patients at Glendale.
Cardiac management at Glendale provides patients with disease management along with the education and support required to lead a healthy lifestyle when they return home.
“The time spent in cardiac management allows the patient to get well enough to avoid a relapse and a subsequent re-hospitalization,” explained Antonopoulos in a new release.
Glendale Center is a Genesis HealthCareSM rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located at 4 Hazel Ave.
“Cardiac Management at Glendale Center has been an important part of the community for over seven years,” administrator Giovanna Griffin said in a release. “We provide the highest level of cardiac care. When patients leave Glendale they are prepared to proactively self-manage their care and educated to recognize symptoms to avoid future readmissions to the hospital.”
