NAUGATUCK — Tender Years Preschool is hosting a Girls Night Out to provide ladies an evening of fun while raising money for a good cause.

The Girls Night Out will be held Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Naugatuck Congregational Church, 9 Division St. The event will feature over 50 vendors, food tastings, shopping and door prizes. Tickets for the event are $10 each and will benefit the Dawn Lafferty Hochsprung Memorial Fund.

Hochsprung, a Naugatuck native and graduate of Naugatuck High School, was the principal at Sandy Hook Elementary School and among the 26 victims of the shooting at the school Dec. 14.

To memorialize Hochsprung, her family established the Dawn Lafferty Hochsprung Memorial Fund at the Waterbury Teachers Federal Credit Union. The fund will be used to provide a scholarship to a Naugatuck High student pursuing a career in education.

Tickets for the Girls Night Out can be purchased at the door. For more information, call (203) 729-6426.
