Foundation awards grant to United Way

NAUGATUCK — The United Way of Naugatuck and Beacon Falls is among four non-profits that will share $34,253 in LitLinks P3 grants awarded by the Connecticut Community Foundation.

The United Way received $8,592, according to a news release. The funds will go towards a pre-kindergarten/kindergarten peer mentor initiative run by Naugatuck Discovery, which is a community initiative overseen by the United Way. The money will allow for the continuation of collaborative efforts around pre-K through third grade childhood development.
