BEACON FALLS — Beacon Hose Company #1 is offering to assist any resident in need of help installing, or maintaining their smoke and carbon monoxide detectors free of charge.

“The recent fire related tragedies in Connecticut have served as a reminder of how important these devices are. We also realized that there are folks who either don’t have these detectors, or have not been able to properly maintain them due to physical restrictions”, explained Jeremy Rodorigo, the departments spokesman, in a news release.

Smoke detectors will be provided free to anyone who cannot afford one. Anyone in need of help can call the fire department at (203) 729-5323.
