Equipment stolen from bucket trucks

BEACON FALLS — Police are investigating the theft of thousands of dollars’ worth of equipment from the trucks of a tree company.

Police reported a lengthy list of equipment was stolen from six bucket trucks overnight on June 21. The trucks are owned by Lewis Tree Service and were parked on Breault Road, Resident State Trooper Humberto Henriques said. The company is doing tree work in town, he said.

Police reported the suspect or suspects pried open compartment doors on the trucks and stole 14 Stihl chainsaws, two Stihl blowers, two hydraulic stick saws, two hanger ropes and two 5/8 ropes. The saws are all orange and white, police reported. The value of the equipment stolen is estimated at $12,000.
