SEYMOUR — The Connecticut Education Association has endorsed state Rep. Theresa Conroy, D-Seymour, in the race in the 105th Assembly District.
“Theresa’s support of children, teachers and public education is clear. CEA is proud to endorse Theresa Conroy for state representative,” Sheila Cohen, CEA president, stated in a press release.
Conroy, an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, is running for a third consecutive term, and fourth overall, representing the 105th District, which represents Beacon Falls, Derby and Seymour. She is facing a challenge from Republican Nicole Klarides-Ditria, the deputy first selectman in Seymour.
The press release cited Conroy’s ability to secure school funding and advocating for advanced manufacturing training at the state’s technical high schools.
“They will be the next generation of manufacturers in our state,” Conroy stated in the press release.
