BEACON FALLS — Time is running out to buy tickets for a raffle being run by Citizens for Tomorrow’s Downtown.

A couple of years ago the group, a nonpolitical, civic-minded organization that focuses its fundraising efforts on beatifying downtown, partnered with the New Haven-based, energy broker Globele Energy for a fundraiser. The way the fundraiser works is area businesses and residents sign on with Globele Energy to be their energy supplier, and the group receives a small donation for every kilowatt of energy used. A dozen businesses — Ace Auto, Beacon Falls Bakery, Beacon Falls Market, Beacon Falls Pizza Palace, Fitzgerald Automotive, Full Harvest, Gabe’s Mobil, Kelli’s Kuts, Subway, XpressMart, Beacon Beer and Beverage, and myboozebook.com — signed up with the group to do the electric supply fundraiser. In order to thank these businesses, the group decided to hold a free raffle, which was announced earlier this year, for Beacon Falls residents in which 12, $50 gift certificates, one each to the above businesses, will be raffled off. The raffle is now for 11 gift certificates as Full Harvest has closed.

The raffle winners will be drawn Monday night during the group’s meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. at the Beacon Falls Senior Center, 57 North Main St. Residents must be at least 21 years old to enter the raffle. For more information or to enter the raffle, visit www.bfcftd.org.
