NAUGATUCK — Naugatuck High School honored sophomores, juniors and seniors who are academically in the top 5 percent of their class during a ceremony May 15.
Students honored for the first time received a letterman’s jacket and letter to put on it. Students honored for the second or third time received a chevron to pin on the letter.
“I think it’s a good opportunity for all the kids who work hard in school to get recognized. All the hard work you put in throughout the year, someone notices it, and it’s a proud moment for everyone,” Naugatuck High School senior Edesiri Igbuya, who received a chevron, said.
