NAUGATUCK — A benefit concert will be held Sunday to raise funds for Naugatuck resident Bob Veillette.

Veillette, the former managing editor of the Republican American, muscian, and U.S. veteran, suffered a stroke in 2006 that left him with locked-in syndrome and he is almost completely paralyzed.

The concert will feature the Naugatuck Community Band jazz combo led by Charles Marnghi, Ed Kamienski on chromatic harmonica, along with Joe Masulli and Friends on guitar and vocals.

The concert will be held at 2 p.m. at the Whittemore Library, 243 Chruch St. The concert is free. Donations to the Veillette Recovery Fund will be accepted.
