Naugatuck High School senior Sophia Boucher has earned a President’s Volunteer Service Award The award recognizes Americans of all ages who have volunteered significant amounts of their time to serve their communities and their country. The award was granted by the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program on behalf of President Barack Obama. Naugatuck High School nominated Boucher for national honor this fall in recognition of her volunteer service. ‘Sophia exemplifies what we strive to promote at Naugatuck High School: excellence. She pursues her excellence in everything she does including through her volunteerism.
