PROSPECT — The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing next week on a proposed revisions to the zoning regulations.
The hearing is Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. in Town Hall.
The proposed revisions would delete the regulation that does not permit a gasoline filling station within 1,500 of another filling station or garage, and the regulation that does not permit a commercial garage or automobile repair shop to be built within 500 feet of another garage or repair shop.
The proposed revisions would amend a regulation, which currently does not allow a commercial garage, automobile service or repair station within a public water supply watershed to be located within 1,500 feet of another commercial garage, automobile service or repair station. The amendment adds gasoline or diesel filling station to the restrictions.
