BEACON FALLS — The Planning and Zoning Commission has approved an amendment to the zoning regulations.
The commission on Oct. 18 approved an amendment to Section 71 of the regulations. The section governs the Board of Appeals.
The amendment is for Section 71.3 notice to abutters. It reads, “In all applications to the board of Appeals, the applicant shall mail notice of the public hearing, no later than 10 days before such hearing to all owners of property that abut the property which is the subject of the application. The names and addresses for abutters shall be those as recorded in the office of the Town Assessor on the date the application is filed. Evidence of such mailing shall be presented to the Board of Appeals at the start of the public hearing.”
