NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck United Methodist Church is collecting items for the holidays once again this year.
The Samartian Purse, Operation Christmas Child shoebox collection will take place at the church Nov. 12 through Nov. 19. Any shoebox can be filled with toys, personal care items, school supplies, hard candies or clothing, no liquids or violent toys. The shoeboxes are distributed to children in depressed areas around the world. Shoeboxes can be dropped off at the church, 208 Meadow St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the collection.
