PROSPECT — Prospect Congregational Church parishioners are selling party platters for New Year’s Eve to help raise funds to replace the church’s roof.

The roof of the church on Center Street needs to be replaced due to multiple leaks. The gutters also need to be replaced and the siding needs to be painted.

As part of the effort to raise the estimated $90,000 for the repairs, church volunteers are selling vegetable platters and meat and cheese platters for New Year’s Eve. The vegetable platters cost $17. The cost for a meat and cheese platter is $30. The platters serve 12 to 16 people, and can be picked up Dec. 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. or Dec. 31 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The church is taking preorders for platters through Saturday. For information or to order a platter, email genaeyre@gmail.com. When ordering a platter, people should include the platter they want, the time they want to pick it up, a phone number, and whether they want to prepay with PayPal or pay with cash or a check at the church.
