WATERBURY — Naugatuck Deputy Mayor Tamath Rossi has been hired as the new membership development manager for the Waterbury Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber announced in a news release last week that Rossi will be responsible for attraction of businesses and retention of members to the organization.

Her role is to provide resources, networking and advocacy opportunities for all business owners, said Lynn Ward, chamber president and CEO.

“As a small-business owner (of Rossi Title Co.) and a recognized political figure in the Greater Waterbury community, we believe Ms. Rossi will bring many far-reaching and positive assets to our chamber’s ongoing ambitions,” Ward wrote. “She is well-known for her enthusiasm, dedication and many accomplishments both professionally and personally. We are welcoming her as a new addition to our team of 10 chamber employees.”

Rossi will replace the chamber’s former membership director, Cathy Dalton, who was instrumental in growing the organization over the last five years, Ward said in the release.

The chamber represents more than 1,000 businesses in Greater Waterbury.
