NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce is seeking local nonprofit organizations to sell tickets for the 14th annual Duck Race & Festival in June.
Nonprofits can sell raffle tickets for the rubber duck race to raise money for their individual organizations. The tickets are $5 each, and nonprofits keep 50 percent of the profits from the tickets they sell. The rest of the profits go to pay for the cost of the event itself. There is no fee for an organization to participate, and nonprofits do not need to sell a minimum or maximum number of tickets.
Over the past 13 years, more than 340 organizations have received over $383,000 by selling tickets for the duck race, a news release stated.
The 14th annual Duck Race & Festival is June 2 in downtown. Application forms to reserve duck race tickets are available online at www.cometoduckday.com, or by contacting the chamber at 203-757-0701 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Completed application forms can be faxed to 203-756-3507 or mailed to the Naugatuck Chamber, 270 Church St., Naugatuck, CT 06770.
