NAUGATUCK — Friends of borough resident Bob Veillette are hosting a bus trip to Foxwoods Casino to help raise money for Veillette’s medical expenses.

Veillette suffered a debilitating stroke in 2006, and was nearly paralyzed. He suffers from locked-in syndrome, a condition in which a person is fully awake and aware but can’t move or communicate. Veillete still lives at home and the proceeds from the trip will go towards the family’s medical expenses.

The trip is scheduled for Oct. 22 and will leave from the 159 General Patton Drive, Naugatuck, at 12 p.m. The bus will leave the casino at 8 p.m. The cost is $30 per person and includes a $10 food coupon and $10 in Keno bets.

Reservations must me made by Oct. 19. To reserve a seat, call Linda Shea at (203) 723-0164.
