Why are you running for this position?
“I’m running for this position because I have been a resident for over 30 years and I love this town. However, over the years I’ve seen our town grow and along with that growth came certain challenges. Class sizes in our schools are larger, property taxes have gone through the roof and our spending continues to increase year over year with no end in sight.”

Have you held public office in the past? If so, what position and when?
“No, however I am an active member of the Republican Town Committee.”

What experience makes you qualified for this position?
“My business experience will certainly help in this role as this town should be run as a business. Utilizing basic P&L principals, funds are being stretched to the maximum and in some cases funds we don’t even have are being spent. We aren’t alone in this as most towns are feeling the pinch but a better practice might be in seeing how we could  redeploy the funding we do have in order to utilize those dollars in the most efficient manner. I have also consulted with elected burgess to gain some perspective on current issues.”

If elected, what are your priorities and goals?
“An immediate goal would be to have transparency and open communication between all elected officials. Personally, I’m not seeing dramatic enough action in regards to continuing to keeping our spending at a reasonable level. For example, although the issue of maintaining the integrity of our neighborhoods and avoiding blight issues is important, I’m not sure that now is the right time for the town to be creating new payroll positions that are not absolutely necessary. Especially when we already pay town employees to address it. Another priority is to further the efforts for creating more business opportunities here in Naugatuck.”
