WATERBURY — Substitute buses are running in place of trains on the Waterbury branch of Metro-North Railroad this week.
The buses mimic the regular weekday train schedule but leave each stop 15 to 30 minutes earlier, according to Metro-North.
The train outage is to facilitate safety upgrades and infrastructure improvements, Metro-North said.
Riders are asked to listen for announcements about local and express service to their destination while boarding.
Train service is expected to resume on Saturday.
