NAUGATUCK — A brush fire extended into a gardening shed in the backyard of 12 Fairwood Road on Sunday, Fire Capt. Vincent Healy said.
The fire, called in at 3:21 p.m., started in a wooded area behind the shed, spread to two piles of wood and then to the back of the shed. The fire damaged the back wall of the shed and part of the roof before it was extinguished.
Most of the contents of the shed were saved. The fire is under investigation, Healy said.
