NAUGATUCK — Republican mayoral candidate Seth Bronko has begun visiting local businesses to speak with the owners as part of a tour of businesses in the borough.
“The key to our future success as a town is to ensure that we are working to create a vibrant business community,” said Bronko in a prepared statement.
He said building a lively business community will make it easier to attract developers and fill the vacant storefronts.
“Economic development is the best way to have a lasting impact on alleviating the tax burden of our residents,” said Bronko in the statement.
Bronko is seeking the nomination from the Republican Town Committee to run for mayor. Republicans Tamath Rossi, who is deputy mayor, and Alex Olbrys, who is a burgess, are also seeking the nomination.
