BEACON FALLS — Two maintenance garages were broken into at Matthies Park, but nothing was stolen.
A public works employees reported the break-ins on Monday afternoon, according to state police. The employee told police the garages were secure on Sept. 21 and he believes the break-ins occurred over the weekend.
The employee and police checked both garages and reported nothing was stolen, police said.
In January, four pieces of town-owned landscaping equipment, estimated to be worth between $25,000 and $35,000, were stolen from a four-bay garage in the park on Pines Bridge Road.
