BEACON FALLS — Lori Paradis Brant was appointed chair of the Conservation Commission Nov. 2.

Brant, who received a degree in natural sciences and environmental interpretation from Central Connecticut State University, is the director of education for the Connecticut Forest & Park Association.

“Lori is an ideal candidate for this position” said Diane Betkoski, outgoing chair, in a press reelase. “She is a professional with over two decades of mission-driven, conservation experience in developing and managing diverse staff and volunteers, creating, funding and implementing high quality program plans, and leading statewide and local community place-based, environmental efforts. After serving as chair for nine years, I am pleased to know that such a bright, capable and dedicate individual will assume this leadership role for our town.”
