CNLogo1NAUGATUCK — A Metro-North Waterbury Line train experienced a brake malfunction and stranded passengers briefly at the Naugatuck station Tuesday morning, an MTA spokesman said.

The malfunction was discovered about 9:17 a.m., and the MTA was “not confident moving past Naugatuck,” according to MTA spokesman Aaron Donovan.

Donovan said buses were provided for the passengers, most of whom were transported from the station by shortly after 10 a.m.

Police were on hand for crowd control, he said.
