Boy, 12, accused of sex assault on family members

NAUGATUCK — A 12-year-old borough boy repeatedly sexually assaulted two younger family members, aged 6 and 4, over a period of several months, according to police.

The boy, whose name was not released because he is a minor, surrendered to police March 5 on charges of first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a child. He was transported to the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center.

Another family member reported the assaults Jan. 25 against the 6-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl, said Lt. Robert Harrison of the Naugatuck Police Department. The incidents reportedly occurred until mid-January, Harrison said.
