NAUGATUCK — Naugatuck police arrested a 16-year-old borough teen in connection with a late-November armed robbery.

The robbery occurred around noon on Nov. 28 in the area of North Main Street and Orchard Terrace. Police said a 22-year-old man from out of town reported he was approached by two suspects in the cul-de-sac at the end of Orchard Terrace. One suspect was carrying a handgun and one was carrying a longer gun, either a shotgun or a rifle, according to police, and they stole the man’s wallet.

Police arrested the teenager, who’s name was not released due to his age, on an active arrest warrant stemming from the robbery.

Police said the teen pointed a gun at the victim and demanded money. The incident is still under investigation and police provided no further details as of this post.

The teenager was charged with robbery in the first degree, criminal use of a firearm, breach of peace, conspiracy to commit robbery in the first degree, and larceny in the sixth degree.
