Borough teens charged in dirt bike theft

NAUGATUCK — Two Naugatuck teenagers, one 16 the other 15, have been charged in connection with the theft of two dirt bikes.

Police said the teens were involved in an Aug. 7 burglary of the dirt bikes, valued at $1,200 each, from a Naugatuck home.

The 16-year-old, who was arrested Aug. 17, was charged with burglary in the first degree, larceny in the third degree, criminal trover damage to a motor vehicle in the second degree, false statement in the second degree, conspiracy at burglary in the first degree, conspiracy at larceny in the third degree.

The teen was given an Aug. 19 court date to appear at Waterbury Juvenile Court and released to his parents.

The 15-year-old, who was arrested Aug. 11, was charged with burglary in the first degree, larceny in the third degree, conspiracy at burglary in the first degree, conspiracy at larceny in the third degree.

The teen was given an Aug. 24 court date to appear at Waterbury Juvenile Court and released to his mother.
