NAUGATUCK — The borough is seeking applicants interested in participating in the 2018-19 elderly tax credit program.

Eligible participants may work a minimum of ten hours to a maximum of 40 hours in a borough department. Participants are paid $10 an hour, which is credited directly to their property tax bills.

Applicants must be at least 65 years old, Naugatuck residents and live in the borough 12 months a year. Applicants must own and occupy the property for which taxes are paid and the credit is being requested, and meet financial guidelines.

Applicants must have appropriate skills for the position, and applicants and department heads must agree it is an appropriate match.

Applications are available at the mayor’s office at Town Hall, 229 Church St., or applications can be mailed to applicants. The deadline to submit applications is July 6. For more information, contact Janice Dambowsky at 203-720-7010 or jdambowsky@naugatuck-ct.gov.
