NAUGATUCK — A convenience store on Spencer Street was robbed Saturday morning by a knife-wielding suspect.
According to police, a male suspect walked into the Stop and Save at 168 Spencer St. shortly after 9 a.m. The man displayed a knife and threatened the clerk, police said. The man stole an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle parked on Lewis Street. Another suspect was waiting in the car, which was described as a black, foreign vehicle, possibly a Toyota, with a primer colored trunk, police said.
The suspect was described as a white male, between 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He was wearing a black, long sleeve shirt, dark long pants, sunglasses and a black, knit hat with a logo on the front, possibly a Carhartt hat. The driver of the get-away car was described as a white male with dark, curly hair.
