Borough police holding DUI check point


NAUGATUCK — Members of the Regional Selective Traffic Enforcement Unit will be conducting a sobriety check point in the area of South Main Street on Sept. 2 from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.

The unit is comprised of police officers from the Naugatuck, Middlebury, and Watertown police departments. The check point is part of an ongoing effort of the Naugatuck Police Department to reduce the number of DUI-related traffic accidents within the community.
