NAUGATUCK — Police have been busy this morning issuing tickets to cars in violation of the borough’s winter parking ban.
According to a press release issued by police, officers were out enforcing the ban and issued over 55 parking tickets between 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
Under the parking ban, no car can park “on any highway of the borough from the beginning of snow or ice fall, or other dangerous ice conditions until 12 hours after the cessation of such conditions.”
Some streets are exempt. For a full list of exempt streets and more information on the ban visit the borough’s website.
Police asked anyone who received a ticket not to call the police department. All issues concerning issued parking tickets must be discussed in person with Mayoral Aide Ed Carter at Town Hall during business hours Monday through Friday, the release stated.
