NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Public Works Department is holding its 13th Annual Earth Day Community Clean-up throughout April.

Throughout the month, borough residents and groups can sign up with the department to clean an area in town. The borough will provide trash bags and gloves as well as trash collection. A list of sites that need cleaning is available or groups can choose their own location to clean.

Last year, over 550 residents collected 260 bags of trash as well as items such as tires and bicycles, according to the department.

The sign-up or for more information, visit the Public Works and Recycling Office, 246 Rubber Ave., e-mail Publicworks@naugatuck-ct.gov or call (203) 720-7071.
