NAUGATUCK — A borough contracting firm is looking to lend a helping hand to veterans.

Bronko Construction LLC is launching a new initiative to help veterans with basic handy work around their home. One Saturday a month, Bronko Construction’s Helping Heroes Project team will volunteer their services at a pre-selected veteran’s home to complete minor repair work like patching walls, fixing leaky faucets, repairing trim, or fixing stuck doors free of charge.

The program is a way for the company to show its appreciation for the men and women who have served in the Armed Forces. The company will provide all materials and labor associated with the project for free and seek to have any necessary material donated for each project.

Veterans must be the owner of the property and submit an application to the company to qualify for the work.

For information on how to apply, visit BronkoConstruction.com to download an application, contact Seth Bronko at Seth@BronkoConstruction.com to request an application by mail, or call Bronko Construction’s office at (203) 723-0566. Anyone interested in donating material for the projects is asked to contact Bronko.
