NAUGATUCK — St. Michael’s Episcopal Church will kickoff its 54th annual Village Green Fair Friday.

The fair, which will be held on the Green on Church Street, runs Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The fair features food — including homemade peach shortcake — games, children activities, live music and a variety of booths. Peach shortcake will be served both days in the parish hall of St. Michael’s.

Local author Dr. Jerry Labriola will be on hand to greet people and have copies of his latest work available for purchase. Also, children will be able to take a train ride around the Green on St. Mike’s Cannnoball Express.

Saturday will also feature a live auction on the Green.

Eran Troy Danner will perform with his band from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday. Events for Saturday include a car show, magician and teen scavenger hunt. Registration for the scavenger hunt starts Friday at 5 p.m. There will be prizes awarded for first, second and third place.

The fair will wrap up with Pierce Campbell & the Scramble performing from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

Admission to the fair is free. A part of the proceeds raised during the fair will be donated to local and regional charities and outreach programs. For more information, call (203) 729-8249.
